What Chiropractic is?
What is it used for?

Who am I?
I am Dr. Gianmarco Capitta and I obtained the title of “Doctor of Chiropractic” from the Madrid College of Chiropractic, one of the most renowned American universities in Europe. After graduating, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Michele De Leo, at his clinics in Cosenza and Reggio Calabria where I was able to refine my clinical experience.
After consolidating my skills, I opened the “Life Madrid Quiropractica” center in Madrid, one of the most active clinics in the capital, where I performed over 5000 treatments and helped hundreds of people every month.
Driven by the desire to return to my roots, I chose to come back to Sardinia, where today I work between Cagliari and Sassari
I deal with:
- Disc hernias, sciatica, low back pain and neck pain
- Scoliosis, straightening and loss of physiological curves
- Postural and biomechanical dysfunctions of the spine
- Headaches, migraines and dizziness of vertebral origin

Chiropractic is a healthcare profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their effects on general health. The chiropractor is a healthcare professional who has completed a university course of at least five years and has obtained the qualification to practice Chiropractic. Chiropractors are trained to diagnose and treat problems of the spine and nervous system, using gentle and safe manual techniques.
Chiropractors primarily focus on spinal alignment, through what are called chiropractic adjustments. These adjustments help to release interferences in the nervous system, thereby improving the overall functioning of the body and alleviating pain. In addition to adjustments, the chiropractor can also offer personalized exercises, lifestyle advice, and nutritional guidance.
Chiropractors follow a university course of at least five years that includes courses in anatomy, physiology, neurology, radiology, biomechanics, and chiropractic adjustment techniques. In addition, they must complete practical internships under the supervision of experienced chiropractors.

The duration of a chiropractic treatment varies depending on the individual case. Generally, most people start to see results within a few weeks, although in some cases a longer course of treatment may be necessary.
Chiropractic adjustments promote better spinal alignment, reducing pressure on discs and spinal nerves. This can help alleviate pain, improve mobility, and decrease inflammation.
In Italy, you can consult the list of registered chiropractors on the website of the Italian Chiropractic Association (AIC) (https://chiropratica.it/). Make sure that the professional you choose is regularly registered and has completed at least five years of university studies at a recognized institution.
Chiropractic is perfectly compatible with other therapies, including medications. However, it is essential to inform your chiropractor about all medications you are taking so that they can assess your personal situation and check for any potential interactions.
Chiropractic is a safe and regulated healthcare profession. Chiropractors are trained to perform adjustments safely and effectively, even in the most delicate areas like the cervical spine. It is important to communicate your concerns to your chiropractor so they can explain the procedure in detail and help you overcome any fears.
There is no minimum age to undergo chiropractic care. Chiropractic is safe and effective for people of all ages, from infants to the elderly. Chiropractors are trained to adapt techniques and adjustments to the needs and age of each individual patient.
